Miles Styles - The Music of Miles Davis
I've been motivated to read up more on Miles Davis. So here will I be.

I stayed up way too late playing Madden with my brother. Best statline of the night: Randy Moss, 7 catches, 334 yards, 5 TDs. But he took the series 5-3.

I've been eating a bag of Sweetarts like there's no tomorrow. Yah, they come in bags now.

Have a good weekend. Check out the wacky warning labels.

Between the Bulls-Wizards game and "The Bachelorette," there was nothing on TV last night. Which pretty much sums up yesterday.

I heard a rumor that my buddy Todd and his wife Jennifer might have had their first child sometime in the past 24 hours. Scary, but exciting.

I have nothing to blog about. Time to clean out the bookmarks:

Graphic Design Schools Guide by Sensebox
Back when I was daydreaming about going to school to be a graphic designer. It'd be cool, but I don't think I'm artistic or creative enough.

A cool-looking car that nobody has business buying, nor selling, for the insane price it's going at. But it still looks cool.

A good Radiohead fan site.

This section of the site has a floating database of characters, objects, themes, etc. that anyone can use in an essay, novel, etc. I sometimes go here when I feel like using my rapidly atrophying writing muscles.

Self-explanatory. Not that I'm playing volleyball anytime soon.

From alert reader Todd Watermann, who's probably half-dazed from playing PS2, waiting for his first child to hurry up and arrive into the world. I can't stand how that guy got a PS2 after I left work.

Saw Catch Me If You Can and enjoyed it. Very cleverly done, and not as weighed down with the usual dosage of Spielberg-brand cheese. And Christopher Walken was awesome. I was thinking that Leonardo DiCaprio can hardly ask for a better return to the big screen, partnering with Tom Hanks and Spielberg in Catch Me, and Martin Scorsese and Daniel Day-Lewis in Gangs of NY. No pressure, just don't mess up, and work on projects with different flavors than Titanic. Even Corey Feldman couldn't ask for a better comeback scenario.

The Straight Dope is one of my fav websites, and someone on their boards started a "What if LOTR was written by somebody else?" thread on their message boards, complete with samples. I like the Mickey Spillane one.

I was just thinking the other day, before I had a beer at home, I hadn't had a drink in what seems like a long time, even over New Year's. I just sounded like a total alcoholic.

Big push for trolley revival in Chicago
Kind of a cool idea, for about 4 seconds. Then you realize this gives them another excuse to hike up the tolls, and then you remember the relative efficiency of Chicago city politics, and then you envision trolleys during the thick of Chicago winters? Next.

It's okay to hit Bibhuti Bhushan Nayak below the belt. Because 3 concrete blocks did. Who's going to step up to this challenge?

Had really good dimsum today, although our family friend (Auntie Lydia) heard that we really liked shrimp, so frigging everything that came out seemed to have shrimp in it somewhere. But it was still good, and we ended up getting really cheap stuff at the bakery. Mmm.

Does anybody else think the teaser for next week's Alias sucks? "The Lover's Mission"? Argh! David is right, I should start watching 24. They'll kill just about anybody for the heck of it.
